Jayde I. Powell is a creatorpreneur and influencer from Atlanta, Georgia. With over 12 years of experience in marketing, Jayde has taken her knowledge and established herself as a well-respected creative and voice in both the advertising industry and the creator economy.

She is the founder and head of creative at The Em Dash Co, a multidisciplinary social-first creative agency specializing in strategy, creative direction, and content creation. There, she has led projects for global brands such as Netflix, Timberland, LinkedIn, The Coca-Cola Company, and more. She is also the host of #CreatorTeaTalk, a brand and community that brings together individuals in the creator economy to discuss all things creators, content, and culture.

Additionally, she is known for her relatable and humorous presence on LinkedIn, which she refers to and popularized as “The Briefcase App,” and for the championing of Black, brown, and queer creatives in her industry.

In addition to her professional marketing experience, Jayde has an education in international studies. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Georgia State University, with a focus on international business and marketing. She also served on the executive boards of organizations like AIESEC, CaribSA (Caribbean Students Association), and the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization (CEO) and completed study abroad programs in Costa Rica and Brazil.

In her free time, she takes art classes and frequently travels between her home in Atlanta and Brooklyn, New York, where she sources much of her inspiration for her creative pursuits.
